Find answers to common questions about Wallet of USDT.
Wallet of USDT is a non-custodial mobile wallet designed specifically for USDT (Tether). It allows you to send, receive, and manage USDT across 6 blockchain networks — Base, Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, BNB Chain, and TRON. The key feature is gasless transfers: you don't need gas tokens, as fees are deducted directly in USDT.
- Download Wallet of USDT from the App Store or Google Play
- Open the app and tap "Create Wallet"
- Set up your Passkey using your device's biometric sensor (fingerprint or face)
- Your wallet is created instantly — no seed phrase needed to get started!
- Optionally, view and back up your 12-word recovery phrase from Settings
Non-custodial means that you control your own private keys. Unlike centralized exchanges (Binance, Coinbase), we never hold your funds. Your private key is stored in the Secure Element of your device and never transmitted to our servers. This means:
- We can't access your funds
- We can't freeze your wallet
- We can't reverse your transactions
- Your crypto is truly yours
- Tap "Send" on the home screen
- Enter the recipient's wallet address, @username, or scan a QR code
- Choose the blockchain network (Base is default)
- Enter the amount in USDT
- Review the transaction details and fee
- Confirm with your Passkey (biometric)
Tap "Receive" on the home screen. You'll see your wallet address and a QR code. You can:
- Share the QR code for the sender to scan
- Copy your address and share it directly
- Select different chains to show the correct address (TRON uses a different address format)
- Share your @username if you've registered one
On most blockchains, you need native tokens (ETH, MATIC, BNB) to pay for transaction fees (called "gas"). With Wallet of USDT, we use Account Abstraction (ERC-4337) and a Paymaster service to deduct fees directly in USDT. This means you only need USDT — no other tokens required. The fee amount is clearly shown before you confirm each transaction.
Fees vary by blockchain network:
- Base: 0.20 USDT (recommended — fastest and cheapest)
- Polygon: 0.20 USDT
- Arbitrum: 0.20 USDT
- BNB Chain: 0.20 USDT
- Ethereum: 1.50 USDT
- TRON: 2.00 USDT
- Bridge: 0.10 USDT + bridge protocol fees
Your wallet is secured through multiple layers:
- Secure Element: Your private key is stored in the hardware security module of your device
- Passkey (WebAuthn): Transactions require biometric authentication (fingerprint/face)
- ERC-4337 Smart Account: Smart contract wallet with additional security features
- Non-Custodial: Only you have access to your private key
You have two backup options:
- Recovery Phrase: Go to Settings → View Recovery Phrase. Write down the 12 words and store them securely offline. Never share them with anyone.
- Cloud Backup: Go to Settings → Cloud Backup. Your wallet data is encrypted with AES-256-GCM and uploaded to your Google Drive. Only your Passkey can decrypt it.
If you have a backup:
- Install Wallet of USDT on your new device
- Choose "Import Wallet"
- Enter your 12-word recovery phrase, or restore from Cloud Backup
- Your wallet and funds will be restored
The username system lets you register a human-readable name (like @alice) linked to your wallet address. Instead of sharing a long address like 0x1a2b...9f8e, you can tell someone to send USDT to @alice. Usernames are free, unique, and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Register yours from the home screen.
Wallet of USDT supports 6 blockchain networks:
- Base — Default chain, lowest fees, fastest
- Ethereum — The original EVM network
- Polygon — Popular L2 with low fees
- Arbitrum — Fast Ethereum L2
- BNB Chain — Binance ecosystem
- TRON — Non-EVM chain with free transfers
No. Wallet of USDT is designed exclusively for USDT (Tether). This focused approach allows us to provide the best possible experience for USDT users — including gasless transfers, optimal fee structures, and a simplified interface. If you need to manage other cryptocurrencies, we recommend using a general-purpose wallet alongside Wallet of USDT.
The bridge feature lets you move USDT between supported blockchain networks. It uses Across Protocol to facilitate fast and secure cross-chain transfers. For example, you can bridge USDT from Ethereum to Base to take advantage of lower fees. Bridge transactions typically complete in 1-5 minutes depending on the chains involved.
Tap "Buy" on the home screen. This opens Onramper, which aggregates multiple fiat-to-crypto providers. You can purchase USDT using:
- Credit/debit card
- Bank transfer
- Apple Pay / Google Pay
- Local payment methods (varies by country)
